Skates? Check. Whistle? Check. Confidence? We’ve got you covered.

South Central Alberta Inline Hockey League is actively recruiting officials for the upcoming season, and we are committed to developing, supporting, and empowering our referees every step of the way.

This is more than just a part time role. It is leadership, confidence, and growth in motion.

  • Clear communication and league support

  • A culture built on respect

  • Opportunities to grow your officiating pathway

    πŸ’ Come roll with us.

βœ… ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Referees must be at least 14 years of age and turning 15 within the current calendar year.

If you referee ice hockey in the winter, this is your off-season goldmine. Roller hockey is the closest thing to ice hockey you can officiate without the Zamboni humming in the background. Similar rules. No off-sides or icings. Same positioning. Same game flow. Just wheels instead of blades.

🟒 A PROGRAM BUILT ON RESPECT

We proudly support the Green Arm Band Initiative. In our league, respect for officials is not optional.

The green armband represents mentorship, development, and a safe environment for learning. It signals that growth is encouraged, guidance is available, and officials are supported every step of the way.

πŸ¦“ OFFICIALS FIRST. ALWAYS.

When you commit to us, we commit to you.

We know referees are the heartbeat of every game. Confident, supported officials create better hockey, better development, and a better experience for everyone on the rink.

πŸ’° EARNED COMMITMENT BONUS

Complete 12 games with us and receive a full refund of your jersey cost on your next paycheck.

We are building a league where officials feel supported, respected, and valued. Because when referees are confident and happy, the entire game runs smoother, faster, and better.

You show up for the players.
We show up for you. πŸ’šπŸ’
